This image is the COVID19 RNA sequence. Each color indicates a different nitrogen base: purple for adenine, red for guanine, orange for thymine, and yellow for cytosine.

These 8 kilobytes of data are responsible for everything: they caused a pandemic, forced parts of the world’s population into their homes for months, smashed the economy, reduced greenhouse emissions for a while, and killed over 320,000 people.

The coronavirus is a perfect example of the butterfly effect: from a heap of genetic information equivalent to the weight of the lyrics of half a dozen songs, to unpredictable and chaotic circumstances globally.

The tiger’s coat appears garish only to human eyes.

The perception of colors comes from photoreceptor cells called cones. There are different types of them and each captures a specific color. Primates have three types of cones: one for blue, one for red, and one for green.

There is actually a condition opposite to albinism, called melanism.

Melanism is the exact opposite of albinism.

In organisms affected by this condition there is an excess of black pigmentation, unlike in albino animals, in which pigmentation is practically absent.

The best known case of melanism is that of panthers. “Panther” is just the name given to a melanistic jaguar or leopard. It is not a separate species, as some still believe.

It’s not clear if the same is true for a human, but theoretically it could be possible for two Caucasians to father a black person.

The Light Rider is a 3D printed motorcycle made with aluminum powder and lasers.

It is built with a material called “Scalmalloy”, with the same strength of titanium and which can be 3D treated and printed, with a low expenditure of resources.

The entire vehicle weighs 35 kilos, and has an electric motor powered by lithium-ion batteries. It goes from 0 to 80 km/h in just over 3 seconds and has a range of 60 km.

The cost is still quite prohibitive though: around 50,000 euros.

They could have simply gone for the original titles, so Infinity war would have remained unchanged (plus the naming part 1), and Endgame would just become Infinity war part 2.

Or maybe they could have called it “Infinity Gauntlet”, a title that also has a lot of relevance to the plot of the movie. This name was really considered by the directors, before being replaced by “Endgame”.
