Are there breathable liquids?

Yes. Fluorocarbons are hydrocarbons made up of fluorine or bromine, and carbon only.

They possess a very high solubility of breathable gases, being able to transport more oxygen and carbon dioxide than the blood itself.

The liquid is therefore very rich in oxygen and even allows liquid respiration.
