How Infinity War could have been better
Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War is probably not a movie that seems to need, or have, room to improve, especially when compared to its sequel.
Avengers Endgame, unlike its predecessor, is full of much more questionable choices, but that’s a topic for another day’s post.
Even though Infinity war has very little potential to improve, it’s nonetheless fascinating to speculate about what the movie could have done better or in some cases just differently.
Before its release, there were rumors talking about how the new Captain America’s Wakandian shields could have the ability to combine and absorb kinetic energy to redistribute it like in Black Panther’s armor. It was pretty reasonable to assume that they wouldn’t want to spoil such a feature in the trailers, and indeed it turned out that they did this exact same thing with the Iron Spider’s mechanical arms.
A nice variation and/or addition to this idea, would be to have shields equipped with retractable claws. A depiction of this last idea below:
