Must read physics books
There is a vast number of valid academic and specialist volumes, but if, it comes down to mind-blowing popular physics books, this is what I feel like recommending on the subject, from someone who has read no less than thirty books on the matter:
QED by Richard Feynman, talks about the theory of quantum electrodynamics, in a simple and inviting way, Feynman’s very important diagrams and practically reduces every phenomenon of everyday physics, except for gravity and a few other things, to the interactions of photons and electrons.
Brian Greene’s trilogy: The Elegant Universe, The Fabric of the Cosmos and The Hidden Reality. The first one is a bit of a head-turner in my opinion, where Greene lays out string theory as clearly and comprehensively as possible given the complexity of the subject, and he also has the gift of being an excellent writer. The Fabric of the cosmos deals with the nature of time and space, while the hidden reality is about parallel universes, also must-reads.
