Sclerotic Rings

The sclerotic ring is typical of a wide variety of vertebrates, except for mammals and eusuchia. It was common in a lot of dinosaurs.

It is not exactly clear what it is used for. Some lean toward the function of supporting the eye scaffold, others toward a function of enhancing the focus.
