The least healthy food we eat every day
Excessive consumption of sugar can make us irritable, agitated and aggressive because it inhibits the neutrophils’ ability to defend ourselves and also decreases the maturation and differentiation of lymphocytes.
Research on the effect of refined sugar carried out in California in 1979 shows that white blood cells under normal conditions are capable of killing about 14 bacteria, and how this after-effect is dramatically reduced as early as five minutes after refined sugar intake.
White sugar weakens bones and teeth because sugars counteract mineral deposition in bone by inducing acidosis in the body, which the body counteracts by “disassembling” calcium carbonate.
This process causes osteoporosis.
Sugars clog the main metabolism of cells, known as the Krebs cycle. This results in the accumulation of sugars in the form of fat, and thus obesity, the accumulation of fat leads to an increased risk of cardio-vascular events, such as heart attack and stroke, the development of breast, colon, and prostate cancers, liver problems such as steatosis, ascites, hypertension, and diabetes.
In addition, sugar can be regarded as a drug in that it is addictive. Sugar intake releases dopamine in the brain, just like drugs.
It contains no essential elements (vitamins and minerals), only calories. Excessive sugar use leads to nutrient deficiencies
