Urban Monsters
A disturbing phenomenon that occurs in many cities all over the world, is that of the construction of big buildings or complexes of buildings, initially meant to bring something positive to the community and host a lot of people.
But what those end up being at the end, more often than not, is gigantic urban monsters that dominate the landscape and make it uglier and hollow.
These examples show what I’m referring to:
- A Hong Kong street:
2. One of the longest residential buildings in the world (1 kilometer) in Rome:
3. Petare, Venezuela
4. Hyderabad, India
5. Private houses on the roof of an eight-story mall in Zhūzhōu, China
6. Nad Al Sheba, Dubai district
7. Noril’sk, Russia
