Why are some walls in England built curved?
Sep 25, 2023
Because the curved shape, being made of and supported by arches, requires fewer bricks (only one row instead of two) than a straight wall to be made sturdy.
And as a consequence of this technique, materials, money and time are saved, thanks to the use of fewer bricks.
It is a type of construction characteristic of only a few parts of the United Kingdom.
